I'm a big fan of The Wire, but Treme wasn't doing it for me. I'll probably watch it once its run is done, and its on DVD.
I realize that Game of Thrones isn't David Simon material, but its still a good show, and it delivers in different ways. You should give it a chance. How many episodes (or minutes) did you actually watch?
If you only watched the pilot, then bail from the discussion of whether or not its a quality show.
