The only exception I can think of was one shot of the red-headed hooker character riding some guy while sitting in his lap facing him. Everybody else? It's bend her over and do her from behind. I was planning on watching it until I saw a couple of clips and read a synopsis of the books it's based on. Lost all interest. It just seems like shock value BS. Actually it has some "minor" difference between the book and the movie, but I think the movie rocks! Sean Bean play is awesome as usual, the effects are awesome and the whole movie is Awesum!

What I think some people who feel it is starting slowly might night realize is that this show is based on a series of books. Currently there are 5 books in the series and there will eventually be 6 or 7 when he is done. So it might be a little slow at first, but we need to get to know who everyone is and what their roles in all this is as the shit starts to hit the fan.
Supposedly each season of the show will cover one of the books and they would ultimately like to do them all. I haven't read them but a friend of mine who has says they are pretty spot on and that thinks are about to get kicked into high gear.Comment

They stay pretty close to the story line. There are some glaring differences, ie how Ned hurt his leg, in the book it was his dying horse falling on him vs. a spear. They've cut out some character development, especially for the King's council members.
Not too bad, all considering. The children and most important the Direwolves are not being given enough attention in the story line as they are in the novels.
It's a great show, and they do a good job. Now, Wheel Of Time needs to be made.
