    Anybody disappointed nothing happened?

    Not that I wanted for there to be an apocalypse today or expected anything to happen but I kinda wanted there to be something. Same with that Y2k hysteria. I don't think I'm alone, people love watching train wrecks and natural disasters, i disappoint myself when things like Hurricane Katrina, 9/11, the Japanese earthquake and nuclear disaster happen - part of me wants to see more carnage and drama even though i know it's so wrong.

    Are people less afraid of death if they think everybody is going to die at the same time? If you found out that a giant asteroid was going to hit Earth and wipe us all out would you be less upset than if you were told by a doctor you had 6 weeks to live?

      To be honest, I think it was mainly a US thing, I didn't see any mention about this Dooms Day anywhere in the world

          I was really hoping to nail a hot milf down the street with a big round ass. I'm pretty sure her husband is a serious religious nut job, but she just goes to church because of him.

          It would have been sweet if he had gotten lifted to heaven and left that sweet piece of ass here for the taking. lol

                          Actuallyyyyy.... and I have to laugh here.... but most "religious nutjobs" I know aren't very likely candidates for being taken at the time of the actual rapture. Not from what I know of it anyway. Most of those types aren't on the right path that the bible's God wants, they are just as you said --- nutjobs. Opinionated, over-zealous, basically obsessed with religion, overbearing and disrespectful or at the very least intollerant of the beliefs and opinions of others where it pertains to religion, etc. They are anything BUT stellar Christian material if you ask me.

                          The more likely scenario, and this is where I mentioned I had to laugh, is that God would just as likely take the hot babe (who probably has a more sensible belief system and strength of character etc) and leave the idiot religious nutjob on Earth. Wouldn't that be hilariious?

                          I'm telling you, if there has to be a God in the universe, the one I want up there is one with a sense of humor. :D

                                              people want magic/escape - an afterlife or life on other planets. without those you're stuck with the realization we're just stranded here on a big rock waiting for our own expiry dates. the people who are happiest and busiest with life rarely spend time worrying about an afterlife or aliens. look at the people carrying End of The World Is Nigh signs or go to a UFO convention - pretty much explains the phenomena.
