Your new domain won't cost $1.29 to renew in a year's time...
I believe the code usually only applies to one domain, so unless you're a total domain junkie I'd say that saving $7 once-off (then spending another $8 to move it away from godaddy) isn't worth it.Comment

The coupon is only good for 1 year on 1 domain...
Godaddy has been known to unfairly suspend domain names, so yeah there could possibly be a problem buying domains at Godaddy.
All of my Godaddy domains get transferred out 61 days after I get them
