in Thailand u can keep that window open at least a couple of weeks if your embassy lawyer can convince the police that money is coming. but money has to come from outside the country, because anything you had inside the country was split up among the raiding police 10 minutes after they busted down your door.
i actually like the Thai legal system. i am guessing the guy who owns creampiethais.com likes it too since he's back out on the streets..
