there are black pilots, but very VERY few.
i've been a PP and aircraft owner since 1986.
i go to the EAA convention in oshkosh every year.
it is mostly a white male club and attracts people from all over the world.
a sea of WASPs.
and i have never seen a black pilot performing in aerobatic shows, etc.
but i've known of a few black guys that do own airplanes and do fly.
and i've seen one or two black ATPs over the years, but most do not fly left seat for the airlines (yet).
the original poster's observation may not be politically correct, but it is plausible in 2007.Comment

There are over 125 airlines in the world, in every country, and every pilot is a white male.
You have no shame in showing the whole world your stupidity, and even sadder is how you actually think your ignorant humor is "cute" .
Did you have any education at all past the age of 8, because that is where your humor, and education seems to have stopped developing.

if you travel internationally, you will realize that the vast majority of pilots flying (commercial airliners) are white and trained in the USA.
this includes most asian and african countries (except china).
america invented commercial international airliner transportation as we know it.
and america controls most international aviation security and rule-making.
pilots throughout the WORLD must be able to speak ENGLISH, it is the international language of aviation and you can't have a commercial pilot's license without knowing english anywhere in the world, because that's what they will be speaking in the control towers of Paris, Montreal, Bejing, Mexico City, Lagos, Nigeria, etc etc.
There are very few black pilots.Comment
