        Here;s how i see it:

        Your signature is like a bilboard. It has to convey a certain message in a very limited amount of time. If it's able to do that and displayed to the correct people (like dont advertise sponsor X on the sponsor X forum) you should get a few clicks, then its up to the site you linked to be able to convert
