It's really a Scammer in New York, New York.. but who would look if I started a topic with "Fucking New York Scammers"?
Someone attempted to use my checking account debit card to wire someone in New York, New York a little over 1,800.00 out of my account.
Luckily and amazing enough, Western Union's fraud dept happened to catch it and reversed the charges (was approved). I won't say how it was caught, just in-case it's some scammer from inside the industry as I don't want them to know what they did wrong.
Any way I'd keep an eye on your accounts because I very rarely ever use my debit card online other than to pay bills. Other than bill payments it's pretty much only stuff in the adult web area.
Anyway I figured I'd give a heads up to keep an eye on your accounts, just in-case someone data base might have been compromised. The police have been notified and is under investigation. WU does have the name of the person whom was to receive the money and it was sent via WestrenUnion.com.
