The only time that makes sense is if you buy in bulk then sell it to some sucker on ebay for 2 or 3 times that amount... I have no interest in them but you never buy any first version of anything (car, tech shit etc)
I rebooted, deleted temp files, history, cookies and everything...still cannot view the news clip. All I see is that fucking gay ass music video from "Rick Roll". Anyone else have a different link to the news clip?
i was reading the specs on the iphone and some sites and tbh the 1st go at it i do not think it will be a good product...will it sell like crazy...yes
I agree.
Phone will sell great, do well for at@t, apple, etc but with new increased pricing and limited to at@t for now I don't think it will be a winner in the long run..

not sure what the deal is ..Motorola came out with the idea before Iphone.. this is my 3rd generation touch screen with real-player .. so no Itunes issues .. similar to linux operating system ..with 2Gig storage plus just for fun .. 2mg camera . .
Thanks for the link. After the read, it appears the pricing is not bad, actually better than the standard AT&T rates. I rely on my phone for web and E-mail access. I need to be able to view MS documents, so that may put the iPhone out of the consideration process. It's time to upgrade my Treo650 but I'll stick to a more document-friendly phone.

New Yorkers camp out for iPhone despite summer heat
IPhone fever takes hold in the Big Apple
June 26, 2007 (IDG News Service) -- NEW YORK -- New Yorkers have a reputation for being a hearty lot, and those who want to be among the first to buy an iPhone on Friday seem to be made of a particularly tough constitution. Despite temperatures that soared above 90 degrees today, several were already lined up outside the Apple Store on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan.
The leader of the pack was Greg Packer, 43, a retired highway maintenance worker from Huntington, N.Y., on Long Island. Packer lugged his supplies, which included water and clothes, and set up a camping chair on the street outside the store on Fifth Avenue at 5 a.m. Monday so he could be the first in line for Apple Inc.'s latest gadget.
Though he's committed himself to spending nearly five days living on the street for the iPhone, Packer said he's not "computer literate" and doesn't own an iPod. "I'm not really a technology person, but I'm doing the best I can to keep up with technology," he said.
However, two of his favorite things are music and the phone, so Packer, who said he has camped out early for concert tickets and sporting events in the past, wanted to be first in line to get the product that combines the two and provides Internet access at his fingertips. "I want to see what it's like," he said. "I want to give my review of it."
Packer isn't the only one consumed with iPhone fever. At 2 p.m. today three people with chairs were in line behind him, and a fifth person said he was joining the queue while Packer was being interviewed. (That move seemed unlikely, however, since the man was dressed in casual business attire and had no supplies or other equipment that one might have for a four-day camping excursion on a New York street.)
Jessica Rodriguez, a Bronx resident on summer break from New York's Boricua College, said when she stopped by the Apple Store yesterday, she had no intention of camping out. But after talking with Packer and the others lined up outside the store, "it motivated me to want to come."

ill get portable piss pots and charge 50 bucks to take a piss and 100 to take a shit
I haven't paid enough attention to this product to know whether people are really all that excited about it, but you guys know the whole fake nick thing didn't originate in online, right? Having shills stand in line for things or use products in public and such is not particularly unusual offline and I believe the expression shill comes from the original non-digital Wild West.
b) only got edge - eh welcome to europes super 3g network jobs
c) has no support for office documents - eh is there a smartphone in the world that doesn't support word and excel?
d) closed platform - no 3rd party software... oh thats bad
e) has an absurd price for a shit brand with bad customer service and doesn't follow customer laws (atleast up here)
haha, you dont like em apples now do you
a) send me your demo ex and i will try
b) its not fucking launched in europe yet - do you honestly not think they'll add 3g before iphone hit eu?
c) from a google search: "Apple today revealed that its iPhone will support Microsoft Excel and Word documents"
d) apple has never had a problem attracting enough 3rd party developers/software. safari add-ons, widgets etc will be there.
e) price is not an option for the targeted customers. they're not expecting iphone 1.0 to sell to students. eventually iphone 2.0 will come and prolly iphone mini with more attracting (for them) prices.
remember what people said about the ipod? yes, you prolly do
This phone looks user unfriendly to me, if for no other reason that software keyboards are always going to be a maddening experience, at least in my opinion. But if it sparks competition in phone technology and grows the market for mobile video (incl. mobile porn video), then maybe there is some good there.
I was going to get one, I have one of those PDA phones and two Razors (I only use one when the first broke, bought a new one and the had the old one fixed) The PDA phone from T-mobile or any place SUCKS! The web browser sucks, it slow it just crap. I don't even carry it. So I want an Iphone for web browsing, but the no 3G? I'll wait as they are just finishing up the 3G version that will be out soon. I feel sorry for people that buy now and then 3 months from now the 3G is out. But Apple has a long history of fucking their customers over with new versions evey few months with no upgrade path it what almost put them out of business in the past.
As far as lining up, that's fun when you a kid with friends or have no life with nothing else to do. Out here in Vegas it's insane in the 108 degree heat.
What sponsors are doing IPhone giveaways? Maybe I get one that way!
Apple fanboys will buy anything, straight from the get-go. Sorta like Star Wars fanboys who masturbate at the feet of Lucas.
Yes, I love me my iPod, but the specs I've been reading about the iPhone hardly make it worth standing in line for. But, hey, I think of all the time I could spend cleaning off the touch-screen display?
