I was just about to start this thread.
It's been happening often enough now to be a problem. I know it doesn't last long but when it is every week then it gets frustrating. Usually when a banner doesn't load on a page you get an empty "X" but when the geo-banners don't load neither does my entire page. The surfers then move on.Comment

AFF geo still down, they've been having this issues for years now. Don't know what's going on there with them. Never had any such issues with Sexsearch or Fling.

No need to bash and no need to sneek other dating sites into this situation they are having. Shit happens all the time. You try serving millions of ad impressions per day then start talking. If I was making the mega milions AFF is making you could be rest assured that that would not have happened to me. There are mainstream companies out there that serve a thousand times the geo ads that AFF does and don't have such ongoing issues.Comment

O'rly? I don't know that I've ever seen a geoip ad other then in adult, and even if I had, I find it hard to believe they serve up "a thousand times" what AFF ( Alexa Rank:76 ) does.
Anyway.. I'm pretty sure all geoip is done via a 3rd party, so I'm not sure how much of this is AFF's fault. It is a HUGE pain in the ass though, especially when Cams.com has that damn AFF banner way at the top, preventing everything else from loading for the 5-7 mins ( exaggeration ) it takes to time out/come through.

Ever heard of google? how many geo targeted adwords do you think they serve a day? Would you say it's a bit more than AFF? Ever seen that down?

Let me ask you this, AFF, how difficult would it be to change your code such that once your geo is down it would time out the scripts instantly and return null or some default message like "Your City" ?
