The thing is, the majority of the people here fall into the "idiot" category.

      The point is very simple.

Stop trying to give the illusion to others you are 'presenting facts' when it is clear to anyone who has read even a handful of these types of threads that you are in, that you are biased like a mofo. Just say that and be honest with yourself.

I normally do not bother to even ready these threads, much less participate in them, as they are the same cast of characters arguing the same point, counter points, over and over every week. I just happened to catch this one today and saw the same name (you) with the same view point as always. But citing, 'just the facts'. When in fact is just more bantering of your die hard partisan beliefs. Just don the white sheets and be done with it.

Ok enlighten us with your brilliance, where is the nation better?

      we are at 9% unemployment

we are shooting at people in 4 different countries

We are deeper in debt than 2 years ago

And gas does sell for more than $4 here in LA

Please explain where these are not facts! and simple my imagination or partisan beliefs!!

No, they are Bush Tax breaks that Obama extended

And unemployment is still at 9% with many people falling off at 99 weeks where they can't get unemployment anymore, just facts, not going to believe it won't make it go away

Now my point has to be clear. It really has to be.
Obama has done some things that are good,

          he killed Osama
he promised to stop attacking pot collectives with federal money
oh wait, he lied about that,

Help me out here, looking for something else I can agree with

Oh wait, no, he lied about that too

He did start doing more arrests of illegal aliens.

I'm just getting tired of all the wars

Our constitution gives very little domestic power to a President...a President's primary power is in foreign policy. A President cannot make law and a President does not control the finances/spending. The power to make law lies with Congress and the Congress controls the finances/spending. The greatest power of a President in domestic policy is that of the "bully pulpit".

It is generations of Congress and their policies and party politics that are the primary cause of today's problems.

Ultimately though...it is the American people/electorate that are responsible for today's problems...as it is still a nation of government by the people and for the people.

It is an uninterested and ignorant electorate that continue to vote in those that represent us in Government. I know people and I am satisfied that many...if not most of you...know people that do not watch the news on T.V...do not read a news paper...do not read books...and yet will vote in elections...Local...State and Federal...but primarily in State or Federal. I know people that when they receive their ballot in the mail...they spend...maybe twenty or thirty minutes...looking it over and that is the sum total of their political knowledge about the candidates and issues and yet they will vote. Also as you know a relatively small percentage even go to the trouble to vote at all.

Many Americans believe that we only have a two party system and are not even aware that there are about 50 officially registered political parties in this country.

There will be nothing change for the better without the American people/electorate taking an interest and educating themselves about the parties...candidates and issues...and frequently letting their representatives know what their thinking is about the way they are being represented on the issues.

My confidence level is high that conditions will get much worse before the American people will get their ass in gear.

I agree with most of what you said but I also believe that the government has been overstepping it's power at the same time. When did the congress vote to allow drone attacks on Pakistan? When they make laws, they make ways around them.

Wow, is your memory really that skewed? Obama did lower taxes for income up to 250k. Part of the stimulus was tax credits and related items specifically targeting the middle class but also cutting taxes for everyone up to that point.

You can say the unemployment numbers are ONLY(which is a ridiculous argument) down because of people running out of it, but you all ignored the steady upswing in job creation which was a huge turn from the downward path of Bush job growth. Unemployment is at the end of the spectrum to go down in a recovery and its been showing signs of continued decline, yet you seem to practically delight in a % of a % uptick as tho it proves and validates your arguments. I'm sorry your hatred for our President blinds you so much you are willing to ignore or discount/nullify all the positives. Are some things bad? Of course. Are most things getting better? Yes. Are there always pitfalls that we can fall in to? Of course.

                      Skewed?

                      OK

President Obama just announced a tentative deal with Republicans on extending the sweeping tax cuts signed by President George W. Bush nearly a decade ago.

The deal extends all the tax cuts for two years, including those on upper-income Americans that Obama wanted to end. As a result, the debate over the tax cuts will have to be joined again during the 2012 presidential campaign.

From The Labor Department new applicants for unemployment insurance last week came in at a seasonally adjusted number of 388,000.

                      How is that any good?

Illegal immigration is down, deportations are up.

Iraq has wound down (50k troops, still too many, imo). Afghanistan is set to start winding down in July. Pakistani operations are and have been an extension of the war in Afghanistan and they certainly seem to have proved to be effective. You simply cannot call lybia a war.

I completely agree that we need more of our troops home. My brother-in-law was just deployed to afghanistan and he's had 2 tours in iraq, others in the balkans, spent years on the DMZ.

The Congress gave that power to President Bush/the Presidency/the Commander in Chief when they overwhelmingly voted to allow the President to prosecute the "war on terror" as he/she sees fit. That power has never been withdrawn from the Presidency.

If you do not like the President having that power...how many times have you notified your Congressman that you want that power revoked or have notified the President that you do not like drones being used in Pakistan.

You can "believe that the government has been overstepping it's power"...that is your right to do so...but it is the third coequal branch of Government...not you...that has the power to decide if "Government is overstepping it's power"...and that is the Supreme Court.

I'm not referring to the recent deal late last year for the extension of the Bush tax cuts for everyone. I'm talking about his first round of tax cuts in his first year.

I agree, unemployment: Bad, but you are still ignoring the fact that job creation is going up quarter by quarter. It's not where it should be nor where I'd like it to be yet, but things take time and we are RECOVERING from a huge recession.

Nor that you like to go round and round with these all day week after week pissing in the wind on some pornography message board.

I try to stay out of these things, but I find it depressing that you dismiss everyone on this board as pornographers, as if being politically aware is somehow incompatible with slangin' pr0n.

I'm really sick of the thing where people (not just you, but the majority) refuse to discuss issues and just shout partisan insults. If someone (such as Vendzilla) says something which is not wholly partisan, then the debate revolves around trying to shove him into one partisan box or another. White sheets? Come on, guys.

Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants

He took control of the situation and intervened with the military and the Court Martial was dropped...but unfortunately my friend was denied reenlistment when his current enlistment expired...he had intended to be a career soldier.

Lol this is the new normal get used to it and hope some radical doesnt come in and make online porn job one. They will keep lower taxes on the rich and big corporations while sticking it in the ass of the fading middle class. And the scary part is people like vend will keep voting against their own best interest while they get fucked in the ass deeper and deeper.

I think that no matter what the Republican party put forth, they would have lost only because of the past eight years under Bush. I think McCain was a scapegoat. I was surprised it was as close as it was really.

I also think the Republican party knew this and wanted to loose, knowing that the next four - eight years are going to suck donkey balls no matter which side is in office.

So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants

I find it humorous. Oh btw, why not blame the guy who took a shitty economy and made it worse? Man you're a moron rofl.

btw, Reagan had far more bullets in Countries that Obama has, by 3 times. Not that it makes a difference, unless it's a Republican in power.

It costs 800b a year to run this boat, and Obama directly has spent less than 800b. Saying the debt went up under his watch is like saying he breaths air.

Record gas prices happened in 09, we haven't reached the point again. Now if you're going to blame him for the increase, then you should credit him with the largest drop in 5 years as well.

Outside of that the markets have grown, rather than shrank like they did the previous 10 years. The economic drop was stopped, which was being said was the next depression. Actually, even jobs and housing stopped it's major drops, prob will drop again but at least it quit from its depression like speeds. That's before all the civil stuff he's done, tax code work, shit the list is so long I couldn't list it all.

It's not like Obama has done only bad...

WTS, what puzzles me is the staunch political stance he and others proclaim from hearsay or slanted opinions via news/radio as they insult others that their opinions are totally correct, but when found wrong, fall silent or can never admit they're wrong.

So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants

Historically, your prejudices are crystal clear and it's more than obvious that you will never change your position, nor are open minded in the least to the views of others on those political topics. Especially in regards to Democrats/liberals/particular issues.
