Yeah, friend of mine went to krav maga classes for a few years. In the end they busted his knee in a training accident. No more martial arts for him.
I run, if someone threatens me, I'll be able to leave him behind. Did so once, dude on a motorbike wanted to beat me up, but every time he got off the bike to hit me I left him behind, then he had to go back for his bike to catch up, repeat 3 or 4 times and he got tired, I laughed at him all the while.
He was just a kid though, so I wasn't keen on hurting him and getting in legal trouble, at one point he tried to hit me with his helmet and I jabbed him in the throat, as a warning only, I pulled the punch. If I'd really wanted to hurt him he was wide open. Chimping out might feel impressive but it doesn't help in a real fight.
