    Was this cop killed in self defense?

    It appears to me that the cop walked over to a guy who puts his hands up near the driver window then the cop sprays him in the face with like a gallon of mace.

    What's really strange is that the cop walks away from the vehicle after spraying the mace. Isn't the point of the mace to subdue the suspect and make the arrest?

    BTW: the cop had a previous issue with the suspect.

      Yeah that was really weird, looked like the cop was just fucking with him, It definetly didn't warrent getting his ass shot, but the whole thing looked really weird to me

              I wouldn't have pulled out a gun and shot, but then again, the cop hasn't been on my ass for a few months like in this case.

              People have claimed the cop was harrasing this guy.

                      Self defense? No way. Shooting a cop because he sprayed you with pepper spray is only going to get you a visit with old sparky!

                              That is a very interesting thing. If the driver is deemed to have acted in self-defense then the guy who shot him was out of line.

                              Of course there is the factor that the shooter assumed he was helping a law officer. My response to that is he should have helped by write down the license plate and calling an ambulance instead of shooting.

                                  he took the law into his own hands thats not good, if i saw a guy getting beat up and went and stuck up for him and beat the other guy im still gonna get assualt either way

                                      maybe he saw the gun and started backing away, nobody knows what exactly went on inside the shooters car but the cop and the shooter, and id be willing to bet the one that survived will never tell the whole truth

                                                              Can't really tell much from the dashboard cam... it looks to me like the cop sprayed him in the face with the spray, then walked away. The cop didn't see a gun, obviously, or he wouldn't have turned his back and walked so slowly away. Then the guy pulled out a gun and shot the cop in the back. I can't really say "self defense" because it was pepper spray but it would be interesting to see the history to see just what this cop has done to this guy in the past.
