It's nice that Zakk has his own band, which gets exposure on the Ozzfest tours, but he is the right hand man to the Godfather of Metal and has been for well over a decade. I just find Zakk's side project pointless.
BTW - I just printed out our tickets for Ozzfest a few days ago and cannot wait! Ozzy is going to be actually playing his material instead of 'Black Sabbath' being the headliners.

Godfather of metal? I doubt it. Geezer Butler and Tony Iommi had far more to do with Black Sabbath's sound and music than Ozzy did. Ozzy is, has been, and always will be a prop who hasn't put out an album worth listening to in 16-17 years.It's nice that Zakk has his own band, which gets exposure on the Ozzfest tours, but he is the right hand man to the Godfather of Metal and has been for well over a decade. Zakk Wylde's side projects give him a chance to play the stuff he wants to play and not the gay ass puss metal Sharon tells him to play. BLS has a few really good albums, pretty much everything until The Blessed Hellride is good, pretty much everything after that sucks, but to each their own.
His solo "Book of Shadows" album is pretty decent, and so is Pride and Glory.
Fuck Ozzy, he's a washed up sell out. I saw Heaven and Hell when they were in town and Dio is 100000 times the frontman Ozzy is. (And the rest of the band kick ass too)Comment

You say you find them pointless but how can you find more quality music pointless? I didn't realize that the true measure of music was how many albums you sell. Call me crazy but I'll take a band/solo act that makes music because they fucking DIG it and not because their record label needs a single or because their cunt wife told them to, _ANY_ day.

Considering that I liked Ozzy's music long before I ever heard of Sharon Osbourne.. which I never heard of until that MTV show came out... yeah I'd say I'm disputing what you say.
If you want to just enjoy music because you think it sounds good to you (which is really the only reason to enjoy it period) then stay out of the politics of record companies and band management.
The true measure of music is how good it sounds to the fans. If it doesnt sound good, they arent going to buy it. Its much easier to just pop in a cd and decide if you like it or not, then to spend your time researching a band's management and family members and basing your decision on how the music sounds because of the info you found.Comment
