I just find it odd that you come to GFY telling people to give you things and then a Program donates considerable amount of money for your cause, but yet you cant give them some extra time in your sigComment

Simple really, someone organized a signature auction for my bennifit. I included my signature. They asked for everyone to wait if they could until they launched. He is curious as to why I have not yet switched mine to it.
Simple answer is, they asked me to wait. As for extra time I have no problem with that and once the wire clears my signature is theirs for the extra time as well and odds are I will go past the original month that I offered.Comment

My problem is that other members of GFY are already flying the banner, but you are acting like you are above the law and you can fly the banner when you see fit, you are the one that asked GFY to give you things, you get 20K and you can?t fly the banner ?
I learnt a big lesson in the auction thread I started for NO Carrier which has left a bad taste in my mouth.
I think all auction threads are bullshit. If you need to come to GFY for money or gifts you need to find another job.Comment

I think the other gfy members who donated their sigs were also given a choice of whether to fly it now for 30 days or let the 30 days start when the program officially launches...they made a choice of having the sigs now while there are a lot of others who are waiting.

You started one for no carrier and it went sour, he left crap changed and so forth. I am not going anywhere, and nothing was bullshit.
I started a gift thread for my wedding, Chio started the auction.
As for finding another job, I have no need to. As explained before I got caught up in a magnitude of things all at once then hit with a rather large medical bill. This however was explained already several times.Comment

See I don't see it that way...I didn't donate anything so I have no vested interest in the sig cause but it was an auction....the fact that it was for a good cause doesn't matter, it was still an auction. When you auction off something then you provide that something for the winner. This auction was for people flying the winners sigs for 30 days, and the winner of this auction just happened to be a company that wasn't fully ready to launch yet.
After winning, the company themselves asked sig donors if they could wait and start the 30 days once they were ready to launch. Some have chosen not to wait and start the 30 days already, others (including ASM) have chosen to wait.
If you go to a charity auction and bid and win a 7 day vacation package, they dont give you an extra 5 days just cause you donated to a good cause. As long as the terms of the auction are fullfilled then that is what is important.Comment

Basic Rules of GFY
2. Signature rules. Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of default size and color. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60. Yes there is a reason this is so big. Also putting your text in a cell and making it look like a button is against the rules. Let me repeat... I see this thread has basically already resolved itself, which is great. Nice to see people act maturely and relax after a misunderstanding.
I just wanted to clarify in general, for any sig donators, that we have paid ASM already. His wire has left our bank so to speak, and should be hitting his any bank day now. We would have had it done sooner, but he wasn't feeling well and we didn't get the bank info right away. But I assure you he is being / has been paid the gift that all of you got together for him.
As for when to fly the banner, we would prefer for all of those who are able to wait until our program launch to do so. For those who couldn't wait, we got come coming soon banners out so we didn't hold anyone up. So ASM was just doing what he thought we wanted him to do, I'm sure.
In any case, we are grateful to every donor who is flying our banner longer, or both before and during our launch! The donators have been very generous, and we appreciate all the extra added donations people have been throwing in after we outbid ourselves to make the gift an even $20K. We won't do anyone wrong on this.
