I use it for promoting a couple of non adult sites. The handy thing about a FB page is that you can post a status, photo or link and it shows up in the news feeds of those people who have "liked" it, just as if you were their friend.

If you use it to promote adult or even NN you'll probably get shut down sooner or later...

Be sure to hold contests geared in such a way you get to LEGALLY hijack your "friends" profiles. Also, wall photo promos with autoresponders work well.

I have one FB friend whose numerous daily status updates are mostly competitions... either apps that post to her wall or "tag yourself in this pic to enter" type things. Pretty annoying really, and impossible to filter (unless I unfriend her). There must be a whole circle of people who just endlessly repost or enter the competitions as they see the updates from other friends.

Some apps once authorized post to people's wall etc.
