I have one to - everyone get on board - I think many webmasters are buying a YouTube clone of some sort and thinking that they will be the next big thing, the truth is IT aint that easy :
a ) Within the first 6 weeks we have gone from a semi-dedicated to an elite dedicated server, from 3000 members in a month to 12000+ members now.
b ) We are being forced to upgrade constantly, fix bugs, errors, update players, answer noobish questions.
c ) At busy periods we/members are un-able to upload large Video Files as the formatting of Videos from original Format to .flv is a big strain on server resources and courses errors.
d ) We even had to stop Visitors and resctict the amount of Videos being watched as the costs were huge and the profits were low, we combated this by installing a Seekmo Gateway Page before the Video clip was played.
That's our first six weeks in a nut shell - and before all the Zango/Seekmo haters flame me - I have heard it all before - we will continue to use Seekmo as a gateway until we find another profitable advertiser that can make 1000$ a week.Comment

click on the one night in paris
redirect to seekmo
clicked cancel
back to front page
click on night in paris
told I had to register on the site
registered
back to the front page
clicked one night in paris again
redirected to seekmo again
closed the browser
i can see how that is helping bandwidth...I would imagine if viewers never get to see their videos you won't have to worry about video bandwidthComment

Seems like these tube sites are getting bigger and people are trying to work out all the bugs in use.
A good way to get a ton of traffic quick but Do any of you sponsors think its a good idea?Comment

Yeah sorry but that's the Seekmo gateway, if you don't install the Seekmo ToolBar then you can't watch the Video, that's how we are and have monetized the site.
And Poor design etc. and we need help ! (Dougeetx) The Zango is helping, we went from showing adult ad's and making $10 - $20 a day to $90 - $100 a day - so in our financial state it has helped.
As for the site design - well I don't look after that side of things - this site was loosely developed around the original Youtube/clone and at the moment we are still sorting out the Bugs and Up Dating to a better Dedicated Plan - hence we don't have the time at the moment to make the site more visual appealing.Comment
