Tubes aren't to blame...
I was writing a script to harvest all my affiliate TGP galleries and noticed that when it was done, I had about 100,000 images in about 8,000 galleries (the standard TGP 16 images per gallery, or 3 videos per gallery).
Anyway, with that much "promotional" material, I am starting to think that it's no wonder people don't buy porn. Not only is there a ton of free TGP content, but the content quality is impressive. 1600x1200 images!! 5 minute videos! No wonder people never click on the link to buy more.
Instead of providing more and bigger images for promotional material, producers should have been providing tiny 300x200 TGP image galleries, with blurred out pussies or big red X's across the images - "To see this full size, JOIN YOU IDIOT".
I don't think it was the tubes that kill sales - it started way before that. Too much free high quality TGP and MGP content, where websites/affiliate programs were trying to out-do each other and giving away better and better quaility promotional content.
