Go on a vacation, whether it's just for a night, or a few days. That's what I do. If there's some problem, I'm more than happy to talk things out, but I don't fight, and I don't argue. If you just want to scream and "win" an argument with me, then I'm just going to leave, go out partying for the night, and come home slobbering drunk at 3am, with hopes you've cooled down by then.
It seems to work! We don't ever fight anymore. Problem comes up, just talk it out, then continue on with our merry lives.
