iPad is fantastic for what it is. I use it daily, multiple times per day. It's paid for itself. I've completed proposals, written code, answered e-mails, watched Netflix, played lots of apps, etc.
iPad 2 is neat because it has the camera, but it's not a very GOOD camera. I haven't taken a single shot that I actually "like" with it. I thought it'd be great for taking shots of cars I'm selling (I go through them very rapidly), but it just didn't have the detail I was looking for.
Archos is a cheaply made piece of crap, and I'd stay away from it.
I'm very happy with my Xoom. Honeycomb is a great OS, and it's nice to be able to experience it before it comes to my Thunderbolt phone. I play the heck out of Angry Birds on my Xoom while I'm taking a poop.
Hope some of that helps. I have somewhat a unique perspective, owning them all.

Thanks for that
The xoom does look pretty good, I'm very tempted to order something today

but I am going to try hold off the impulse and see what else comes along.

Think I have seen this, I do like the keyboard idea a lot and the extra battery would be amazing.
The release is TBA though right? haven't seen it announced anywhere.
