I am curious to see what the big carriers are going to do with this. Just taking a quick look at Cricket I think they are an MVNO using Verizon as a back end. They also have a couple other brands. Jump... They are doing unlimited at $60/mo which is a good deal. From purely an idiot end-user standpoint I'd personally love to see a plan that matches that of my digital phone/cable provider's plan, that being I currently enjoy unlimited calling to anywhere in N. America (all long distance in N. America is considered a local call), and a small per-minute rate to any other countries, all for a flat monthly rate. Currently I pay $40 per mth and nothing more, period, finito.
If there was a cell phone plan like that I would seriously consider getting rid of my digital land line altogether and just go with cellular.
Might be an outrageously stupid request but so what? That's what I'd like to see made available.

Many of the local phone companies are doing that. I have my land line and cable through the same provider. I pay about the same. I'd rather have all my communication services in one tight bundle.
I don't think that is an outrageous request and I am going to figure out how to make that a reality.
If Cricket's biz model is sane. They may be on to something. I know I would have to make up that revenue somewhere. According to Cricket their users go through about 1500 minutes a month. They are public so I am going to look at their filings and find out more about them.
