I "think" I have it, at least a little bit in my left leg. I have talked to doctors and had a MR scan (?). Then I went to fysioterapy and she showed me some stretching exercises that really help. When I feel it starting, I stretch my leg then I "roll" my toes up and down.
About this being linked to heart disease, I can believe. After I quit smoking 3 years ago and lost some weight AND started to eat more healthy I hardly have any problems with the leg anymore.
At one point I had to buy a big ass fan to blow cool air on the leg so that I could sleep. Was really a problem.Comment

Leg movement, uncontrolled 'twitching' of the leg, toe rolling could be signs of PAD (Blockages of the arterial circulation in the legs.)
The same symptoms may be psychological or just from sitting too long at your desk working on the computer.
This is not medical advice but try getting up and walking for 30 minutes or running, jogging (leg exercise of some sort) see if the symptoms go away ...Comment
