Why should someone show respect for someone on a message board? I fail to grasp this comment. It's a message board correct?
Do you respect the bum walking down the street just because he happens to be on your street and you encounter him? This is a message board. Nothing else. Why should someone respect a person they've never met beyond posting on a board.
If this is your threshold for respect, I feel sorry for you. Post count or popularity on message boards doesn't fit in a determining factor for respect.
You respect people because they've earned it. This rep seems to have adopted the ibill manual for customer support.
Arrogant affiliate reps should never be hired. They aren't working as affiliate reps because of their knowledge or success. They're doing so because they can't succeed on their own in this business and need a job. Much like the drive through worker at mcdonalds, they should understand their job is to keep the customer (in this case) the affiliate happy and serve their needs.
A company looking for growth would fire this chris person. Why should someone with traffic send it to a company that has people like this representing them.
This frank guy whines but that's the job of an affiliate rep to deal with it professionally. Why should someone who can't or is unwilling to do their job in a professional manner be defended?
This industry boggles me at times. When representatives of programs imply physical threats against a current, former, or potential affiliate, there is no justification for that behavior and the said employee should be terminated asap.Comment

This company engages in affiliate marketing which relies on affiliates and the adult industry wants to try and prove itself as viable, legitimate, etc,.
Do you have any idea how fast an employee of google, yahoo, ebay, commission junction, et al would be fired for this guy's behavior?
This message board is a form of income for playboy. It's censored and moderated. Google reps are on other boards and I've yet to see them threaten or imply physical hard to a detractor no matter how vile the complaints. They act professionally. This board is founded on limited communication, yes but it's no where near the level of a free flow of information.
This chris person's job is to represent his company. In any other legal industry, for implying physical threats against an associate, regardless of their status, he would be terminated immediately.

Then we agree. I prefer to deal with professional companies who's employees act in a professional way. Not contacting people on instant message systems to imply bad things for questioning/slamming them.

I think at this point, however, that some argument can be made that Franck has also taken it too far. I mean, he's voiced his displeasure and everybody knows how he feels. He's not going to get his account re-opened and probably doesn't want too either. All of this being true, continuing to attack somebody under the guise of "spreading the truth" is dangerously close to simply a personal attack.
Imagine if you were unhappy with your bank and the account was later closed, by them or by you, it's not important in this example. It'd be one thing to voice your displeasure, but quite another to stalk a teller around telling everyone they encounter what a bad person you believe them to be.
At this point, Franck can really only be hoping to damage their business. If somebody went out of their way to specifcally try and hurt my business, or worse yet if they were able to, I'd seriously consider paying them a little visit..Comment
