People are getting smarter, why pay for something while you can most likely find it somewhere else for free.

Yeah, gee I wonder which whiz bang Ivy League MBA guy discovered that factoid. Could have saved Silicon Valley VCs billions of bucks in bullshit "Lets give it away for free and make money off advertising" business models.

Sounds like a good news item for www.fuckedcompany.com

"For the most part, online consumers believe the average $20 they pay each month to their Internet service provider should cover additional services"

Blah !!! wtf is up with people. It's like buying a fridge and always expect it to be full off fresh food all the time, and blame the electro store when it's not food in it. aaaaaaargh!

$6 mil a month is a nice chunk of change, but I agree.... I hate RP too....

I was reading a interesting article about internet economics, basicly it said the web will evolve to a point where big buisness will dominate and the little guy wouldn't stand a chance.
Right now someone can still jump in work his ass off and make something happen, 10 years from now forget it.

The SAD part was when RealMedia's CEO R. Glazer went in front of Congress and testified that Microsoft's Media Player is "unfairly" screwing up his marketshare due to s/w bundling--reasoning that is oblivious to the suck ass quality of his product.

and only 15% are expected to have broadband by the end of this year - I say good for our industry, even very good.

The ironic part is that I counted 11 advertisements between the phrases "A majority of Web surfers show little interest in paying for online services..." and "ALMOST 70 PERCENT of U.S. consumers would not pay for any services on the Internet..."

very, very true. However, I do not think it will take 10 years.
