They have a lot of security measures from checking IPs, cookies, etc. From browser types, country of origin, etc, they have enough data from their toolbar to determine how many clicks SHOULD be made off a site, and from what type of person. With analytics and conversion tracking software on many advertisers' sites, they also know if the clicks from your site are converting.
But still, there are lots of ways to game it, and Google turns a blind eye to a lot of it.Comment

You crybabies really need to lay off of DatingGold. He's been here before most of you and will also be here long after you have gone.

They have some half-assed fraud prevention system there, but for someone who knows what they're doing, it's bullshit. I read somewhere that about 25% of adword clicks are fraud and Google just writes it off.Comment

If I have Adwords ads why would I want a bot to be clicking my ads? That would cost me money. I think you mean Adsense.
Can people not tell the difference between AdWORDS and AdSENSE? Until you can I suggest not doing either.Comment
