I don't see a roll cage in that Stang. Unless the newer models are really much stronger, I'd think you're going to be turning that car's frame into a pretzel.
I owned several Mustangs - I disagree with you. They are not heavy, and they are not unreliable. Especially when you are talking about a worked car. I'm not going to rip on any car that someone works over, because if they know their shit and spend the cash, they have a fast car. But I'd take a Stang over a Civic any day of the week. Stock, or built to the balls. Just my own preference, and not a rip on Civics.
4pics, u own both? .. I got a 95 civic too .. did just about everything to the car .. (hell, I even ripped out the seats) .. but the stang still fucking kicks ass over a 4 banger ... I wanted to totally convert the civic into rear wheel drive (complete mod to everything under the body) & put a 5.0 but then it wouldn't be a civic anymore .. plus the mods would be like $50k+
I'm curious to the mods that were done to this engine, is the 780 at the flywheel or rear tires? Have you swapped out the 4.6 and put in a 5.4? I assume it's blown and you're probably running around 20lbs of boost? Those are some impressive numbers, I assume you've swapped to the T-56 tranny to handle the torque and had a complete low-end rebuild on it. Interested in what all has been done as I'm a Ford Fanatic myself, with my 2000 L
why have stock rouche tires and wheels?
why not get some fikse 17*10s like i have on my car
and im only putting down 390rwhp. also, where is the roll bar
the car doesnt even have z rated tires. you didnt lower your car?
no gauges? go home and take your stock 240hp with you
Looks like a stock Mustang Bullet from that pic... A guy down the street from me just bought a Bullet that looks almost identical to that one. Except your Mustang has a spoiler which makes me think it may not even be a Bullet. Has the same wheels though. Either way bringing a engine from the 200-300 hp range to almost 800 takes some serious fucking mods. Not just some guy saying by adding 92 octane you'd get 780 hp. Damn, I really hope you were kidding about that...
If you still claim to push those hps let's see those mods man!
For the guys looking to see a real 800 hp car check out the videos of the Venom Viper 800 hp @ 5,500 rpm (700 rear wheel hp) over at: www.hennesseymotorsports.com
It's actually a pretty cool e-commerce site. Got to love a site where you can throw a $55,000 Venom Viper Modification into your shopping cart.
Hey Big E, be sure to check out Hennessy and www.lingenfelter.com if you ever want to do any work to that 2003 Vette. I saw their 725 HP Lingenfelter Vette on some show the other day pull a 0-60 time of 1.97 sec. No shit.... they had nothing else to test it aginst so they got the Blue Angels to bring over a F-18. The Vette beat the F-18 Hornet 0-60 but it was quickly all over after that as you might have guessed.

From some of the lawsuites ive read, you'll be lucky to get anything back from them, or ever see your car again without serious legal action taken.

I would love to, but unfortunately, it's probably going to be a lease.
Anyone seen the reviews on the new 2003 Cobras? Shit - supercharged 390hp.. getting unbelievable reviews. DOH! :-/
Fuck it - I like the Vette a lot better.. it's weird though - I ordered it in April and I still don't know a damn thing about it.. (shrug)

Uh, Octane is the rating on a fuel to show how resistant it is to ignition.
It won't give more horsepower by itself, higher octane is used in high compression engines to stop preignition (detonation). Common misconception of 'supreme' gas as that it gives more power. Sorry, most you get is more/better detergents to keep your fuel injectors clean
You could add 92 octane and adjust the timing to squeeze out more though.
