As i have learned, you are a shooter for hire too and if i do not personally know you, my sets will be closed to you and your camera.


Just about every shooter and Photog will close their sets to other shooters unless you have a long history of being a stand up guy or a long good standing relationship with them. Its a no win for me. Why? So you can email my clients and tell them that you can do it better? Cheaper? Not happening. Been through that one already.




Nobody likes his video movement style, video lighting scheme, or strobe set ups video taped. Especially from a shooter for hire that they do not know.



Good luck at getting onto peoples sets, when they find out that you are a shooter for hire. And if you do get onto someones set and do not disclose that you are a shooter for hire, you will get yourself into a big mess. Porn Valley is a small place and its easy to have people on your door step with in an hour of someone feeling that you fucked him over.

I will not email your clients or anything ridiculous like that. I am not trying to steal anyone's clients or increase the number of my own. Also, you are 100% wrong. For a year we followed Nick onto his porn sets and got to know all the different crews of the companies he shot for and they let us shoot no problem and they were fully aware that I made content myself. These were companies like Penthouse, Hustler, etc.

Paul is allowing me onto his set, and I disclosed to him that I shoot porn. The proof is the review of my porn scene that he wrote and posted in this thread.

In a way, but I doubt if it would of saved the industry from the decline.

Nearly anyone can write glowing text, get a design, drive traffic, put up a CMS and open a site. It's not rocket science and the explosion of sites online shows how easy it is. Yes it takes some skills but not a great amount. Some money is also required.

As for driving traffic, well that's an easy thing to do. Look at all the affiliates.

Yes to do this really well isn't so tough. But looking around at how quickly these skills were picked up shows it's not rocket science.

There's only really one skill that is hard to learn. Shooting porn. It's not about being able to shoot music video, TV video. It's about being able to know how to deal with models, not just find them. Knowing a niche, knowing how to construct a scene. And more.

Knowing how to shoot really good porn to the level of Rocco, Bil Wright, Jack Harrison, Steve Hicks, Ed Powers in his good times, Steve Perry and more takes ton of skill, a lot of experience and a real feel for porn. None of these guys will work for porns sites, either porn sites can't afford them or won't afford them.

So the flood gates were open. 1,000s of sites with shitty porn all trying to feed from the same trough. Even sites that say they compete with Penthouse and Playboy are a joke. If you want to compete with them you need a shooter who can work for them.

What shitty porn lead to was saturation of the business. Then the most important thing was getting enough traffic to persuade the 1 in 500 that is was worth $30. 1-500 of surfers on a TGP site, not the ones who could be bothered to go to the site.

Some sites did produce great content, Alsscans was one. But the majority don't and the result is pulp porn and nothing that's not on a Tube worth paying for as far a sthe vast majority are concerned.

House prices here have rocketed in the last 8 years. Because it's a sought after area. We could afford to live in Prague over looking Old Town Square or Wenceslas Square, but it doesn't compete with here. Our house overlooks a river, nice and quiet.
