BEWARE: Another LustyBucks / CamGuest Scammed Me Thread

As someone pointed out a couple weeks ago (http://www.gfy.com/showthread.php?t=735838), LustyBucks doesn't seem to be on the up and up. My story is similar to the others in that thread.

Beginning of May we saw their $150 a signup promo. Put them up on our site and sent 21 sales in about 4 days ($3,150). Received this from their affiliate manager then:
[13:16] Julius: Hi, it is Julius from Lustybucks. Unfortunately, we have to close your account due to the large number of suspicious members you've sent to CamGuest.Com. You'll be paid your earnings ( excluding the revenue for voided/refunded/chargebacked sales ). Please note - we no longer accept the traffic coming from your website.
I asked how many of our signups were "suspicious" but never received a response. It is worth noting that our traffic is strictly search traffic and all for cams. We have sent thousands of sales to all the major cam sites like PussyCash, MoneyTree, Webcams.com, StreamRay, AWE, EpicCams, etc. We haven't had this problem arise with any of them, and in fact, most have said our traffic was above average.

My assumption is that their promo was simply more than they could afford. With a site that only offers a handful of live cams that don't work in Firefox, they were probably not getting the type of rebills they wanted and deemed those sales suspicious. Nonetheless, I assumed we'd be paid for at least a handful of the signups (hard to imagine cam search traffic would be that fraudulent). But we haven't received a penny, despite them telling us otherwise.

It's only a few grand, and to be honest, we held back on traffic because we kind of figured the $150 a signup was a little shady. So this thread is just a warning to those who get excited when they hear about their next promo. They simply aren't paying some of their affiliates.

And so this hits all the searches: LustyBucks, Lusty Bucks, CamGuest, Cam Guest

This promo of their looked suspicious from the very beginning, I have stated that in numerous threads too, they simply can't afford such a huge payout. Hope you get your money mate

How could a tiny startup afford a $150 promo? That just smells like ass. I'd never touch it to begin with.

Your case is still under investigation. We do think your traffic is suspicious, that's why you'll be paid your earnings ( excluding $ for chargebacked/refunded sales ) when we are sure we won't get any additional chargebacks ( related to YOUR sales ).

During last promo we've got about 90 new affiliates who sent us their traffic and only 4 of them were banned/disabled.

P.S. It seems you had the same issue with PussyCash in the past...

I have no knowledge of the details of this or the other complaints regarding affiliate terminations from your program. Frankly; it's none of my business and I would hope this is simply a misunderstanding which may be worked out amicably. But, if you find the battle a bit too uphill for your liking, I'm looking to acquire cam programs.

                              See sig.

As I said, we have sent tons of signups to all the cam companies. Our traffic is SE cam traffic. If SE cam traffic is "suspicious", you're in the wrong business.

The PussyCash issue was an error on both sides. We sent a lot of traffic out of the blue that converted very high (SE traffic tends to do that). Their system flagged our account till someone could look at it. Our rep called me personally on the phone, apologized, and has been on of our best sponsors since. We have sent close to 2000 signups to them since mid-November from our "suspicious" traffic. They have paid us on all their promos, they have sent us monthly prizes, they wire our payment the day the pay period ends, they are the best cam program out there. Don't put yourselves in their league.

As for banned affiliates, I've yet to hear from one who sent double digit sales and not been banned. I've had multiple people ICQ me and say they were banned once they hit a certain number of sales. This includes a couple people who are whales in the affiliate game that were trying you guys out. I've yet to hear a large affiliate say they were paid on time for your promos. I guess that isn't a surprise.

You can't, it's why we held back on our sales. If we wanted, we could have sent 500 sales to them that month. That's $75,000, much of which they wouldn't have gotten back. That's a huge chunk of change for a tiny startup with only 20 live cams running at a time.

The highest I've seen are PussyCash promos ($125) and Cams.com ($105). PussyCash has an incredible system with hundreds of girls live at all times. They're also well established, know how to get the most out of the surfer, and can afford the promos. Cams.com charges a much higher rate per minute than most cam companies (not to mention has a huge company running it). There is simply no way a small startup can afford to pay large affiliates that rate when starting out (unless they are backed by millions).

They have a nice site that will convert well. I won't deny them that. But their cam network is small and still being developed. With only a handful of cam models online, there is no way they are going to see large rebills and make back that $150 promo. Not to mention the cams don't work in FireFox, which you won't find out till after you've signed up (I think FF marketshare is around 16% these days). It has potential, which is why I don't know why they go with these huge promos they can't afford. They could just offer a standard $30, or even a nice revshare, and we still would have promoted them and seen what they could do. At least this way they wouldn't have banned many of the top cam affiliates out there.
