    So I'm in the market for a new digital camera and...

    I do my research and find the lowest price on the web.

    The company URL is digitalsuperdeals.com

    After placing the order, they tell me to call and confirm the order.

    I call and the guy tells me "Congrats on a wonderful camera etc etc."

    You will need a memory card for this. I tell him I'm not interested and it comes with one. He says it's good for two pictures only. I said I only take one picture at a time.

    He then tells me it's a refurbished and comes with a Chinese manual but I can upgrade to the real one for 30 dollars more.

    I tell him to just cancel my order, then he gets pissed off at me and then I tell him either he can do it or I'll call my CC company and get them to cancel it.

    He then says the order has been canceled and have a nice day. LOL

      Customer service is just great nowadays ain't it.

      I seem to be arguing with people on the phone every damn day now. Dell are the latest ones on my 'refuse to do business with' list. Fucking 3rd world assholes...

              been there done that, with a New York firm, they pulled similar shit on me. They advertised in a major camera mag and had the lowest price around at the time. But after being on hold several times etc and being upsold to a bunch of shit, I just hung up on the idiot

                  That's how a lot of these shops are online listed on sites you compare prices on. It's so cheap because they make you "call and verify the order" so they can try to sell you more shit.

                                  FHM, that's the biggest con on the net. Go to Costco. I got a Nikon d-80 with 2 lenses a case and a 512meg card, charger (with battery) and a strap for $1200.
