    Amateur paysites - what size photos in members area?

    For photosets in an amateur paysite, what size do the pics need to be?

    I have been resizing them to max 1600 pixel width, but I wonder if that is too small. It seems to me that 1600 is plenty big to fap to, and if I leave them full 4,000 pixels by whatever it makes pretty obvious they weren't taken with a camera phone.

    Any thoughts?

          I use 2000px on the longest side, but my sites are video sites. If I was running a Met-Art or something like it, I would make them larger and give the member several options.

              thanks dwb, mine are video sites too, running mechbunny, but I always get photosets with the content I buy and it seems like a waste not to use it.

                  i think both sizes are big enough your members will be happy most paysites I have reviewed did not have larger image sizes

                      The exgf stuff I have for sale in the buy and sell forum are 2000X1500 / 1500X2000

                      I think that is a fair number. Even for met-art and similar sites I don't see the point of having huge images. My DSLR pics come out at about 4000X6000 I don't think anybody needs a photo that size unless they want make large prints.

                              If I'm fapping to pics at your site, I'd prefer they fit on my screen and load quickly - without having to scroll. Scrolling (horizontal scrolling in particular) tends to kill my boner.

                              Having said that - if I like the girl (or photoset) - I'd like to be able to download the content in the highest resolution you offer.

                              For on site wanking, I like a gallery that lets me advance through the pics by hitting my "Space" bar (or my mouse buttons: left button to go back, right button to go forward). Best if the pics in that gallery fit my screen res without scrolling - I'm surfing with one hand here.

                              For future use, a nice zip file with full-sized photos is appreciated. That zipfile can also contain html, links and banners. Have them download a mini-site that they can save and browse locally.

                                  You have to think about the average porn buyer now tho - he just isnt paying for a membership for a quick wank. He is more than likely a porn lover and wants the best of the best....with that said I'd have two options [Standard][HQ]
