I really like the current one David Tennant... although Christopher Eccleston was damn good as well. I was sad to see him go.

Pretty much has to be Baker but David Tennant is getting there for me. He has much of of a Sylvester Macoy feel to him but better and I love his dress stule. I also agree the Eccleston was good but he didn't stick around long enough to really know how he would play out.

This season in the UK isn't as good as last season but I do like the new assistant..they just need to write for her and not just general assistant writing. That is what made Rose good because they treated her like a real character rather than 'the assistant'. That said, the episode on Saturday is the sort of thing that launches many kid's nightmares.

I agree. I think the new girl is the best one yet.

Rose was ok, but the ditzy assistant bit is too overused in the series. I like the new one's ability to be an asset to the Dr. as opposed to the damsel in distress every episode.

Over the years K9 was a better character than the women were. That's a damn shame.

Overall though I like the season. It's decent. You are right, last year was better. I think when they flubbed the Dalek storyline it threw things a bit off.
