The only thing BFV left out was this quote where Paul states he wanted to shoot the model in a PMT T-shirt so his brand was on Nathan's site. That's a move that would need to be discussed between the two prior to the shooting. For Paul to do it on his own accord shows a lot of disrespect and is exactly why there was the clause he questioned.

Paul went on and on claiming how great a shooter he was and how everyone today sucks.

Nathan challenged him to prove it with a normal job offer and continually tried to meet Paul's unreasonable demands.

Clearly Paul has no intention of actually doing the shoot and is just content to type away
as if he has us all fooled. Most likely Nathan has left the thread for two reasons, he has better things to do and was only here at his leisure and his original challenge of exposing Paul for what he really is has been accomplished.

Hey justinsain....Don't forget that the money that Fabian is playing with to pay Paul...is off the backs of all of us. Fabian deserves no respect. And like it or not, Paul has been in the porn business a loonnnggg time. Fabian was a programmer and is now a front man. He's never even been to a porn shoot.

I'm a photographer and have several websites. I absolutely HATE piracy and detest anyone that feels it's OK to steal someone else's intellectual property. Honestly, I was willing to put aside all of Nathan's history and look at this as a challenge between two people as if they just met. I saw it as a public challenge. Apparently it was personal.

Paul was originally speaking to everyone here and it was Nathan that stepped up and was willing to give Paul an opportunity to back up his claims and give it credibility.

Lets take Nathan out of the picture and pretend someone you really respect stepped up and challenged Paul in the same manner. Do you really believe Paul would've done the shoot? Is this thread about great photography or just trolling Nathan?

I don't see how a person can start a thread trying to be informative and at the same time fill it with BS even if it's directed towards someone they don't respect. It's a contradiction and I don't see how they can be taken seriously.

I'm not sure what Paul would do with a "challenge" from somebody else. He didn't take this "challenge" seriously until Fabian agreed to pay his price. Which right there showed that Fabian is a horrible businessman and that Paul is much smarter than he is by drawing him in and having him agree to pay $3,000 for a shoot of a girl masturbating.

To me this whole thread isn't about whether or not Paul Markham is a superior photographer...it's pretty obvious from his credentials that he definitely is. And I would say that if magazines & the DVD industry were still big...that very few guys (including the ones Brazzers have) would currently be up to the level to shoot for them.

To me...the whole thread is about Fabian and his complete power trip and ego run amock. He's like the Barney Fife of porn. He had nothing to do with Mansef becoming so big. He had nothing to do with the making of the money that was used to purchase the company. And yet, he is completely wrapped in himself thinking he is now a master of porn.

That is what is driving this thread. And you can watch all the people attacking Markham and babbling on and on about whether or not this "challenge" can be met...and it's like watching a Pro wrestling match. But instead of two guys pretending to be fighters and one guy is the good guy and one guy is the bad guy...we have one guy pretending to have any knowledge of porn at all (Fabian), and one guy pretending that he gives a shit (Paul)

That's what is really happening here. And I love watching it.
In the end, I'll still respect Paul for his work over the years. That is real. Fabian? Uh...I respect him for programming the first version of NATS. He was a good employee at TMM. Then he opened a small paysite and affiliate program and it failed big time. Then he talked his way into his current job working for the real owners of Manwin. And that really is kinda impressive.
Had to be some MASSIVE bullshit con job to be able to convince them to let a guy who had never ran a successful porn company or even been on set at a porn shoot....run this for them.

As far as Fabien/nathan goes, he is a fucking joke. I would venture to say he owns 0% of manwin and is a paid employee. I am guessing he pulls down about 150k-175k per year. I'm sure there were/are a lot of very good shooters that worked in the 1970's, 80's, and 90's who didn't win those awards. I'd say that Paul's legacy is his work. It's easy to make fun of people and laugh on a computer...but in real life, the guy did more than you and most of us will ever do in this business.

And money has never bought my respect, maybe it buys theirs. For me respect is earned because it's deserved. Not seen any proof Fabian deserves any respect at all, except for being a programmer. On porn he's continually proved himself to be a fool.

From a porn perspective his sites are lousy for the money he says they spend.

As for the trolls who go on about my outrageous demands. They must be drinking, drugged or demented.

I asked for $3,000 for a set. Which I assumed would be like I used to shoot.

Fabian said 3 sets and videos for $3,000 Which did not agree to.

Fabian then said a set and video for $3,000 Which I agreed to. And agreed to sign his contract which is something I had never done before.

Fabian said he would make it an easy scene I could pick.When I did he changed it to one he picked, harder to shoot and limiting the girls I can use. I agreed to it.

I said $3,000 up front. Because I don't trust him. Trust is again earned. He changed the contract.

Fabian then demands a clause in the contract that is open to any interpretation. Not in court, but if I agree to something it doesn't need a court to settle it. I won't agree to HIS demand.

I don't care what others say they have to sign, shoot for or what ever. This started out as what it would take to get me back shooting. And shooting for a guy like Fabian and his measly money isn't it.
