When it gets difficult for me, I just try and focus on the idea of how truly small and insignificant the Earth is on the scale of the entire universe.

Humility usually comes a bit easier after that.

IME, most people aren't arbitrarily humbled, they are humbled by someone/something beyond their control. Consider yourself quite blessed if that hasn't happened.
