Took me a year to register domain with Internic, and back then it took them 4-6 weeks to set up DNS -- at a cost of $100 per year.

Because in the early days before they cracked down on adult, I was importing dirty postcards from Japan and selling them for twenty bucks apiece on eBay, is where I learned to write html pages.
