    Man Bleeds Green Blood -- Surgeons Shocked

    A man undergoing leg surgery in Canada has stunned doctors after he bled a green-black blood that has been likened to that of Star Trek character, Dr Spock. Vulcans have green blood, according to the Star Trek story.

    The patient had been taking high doses of migraine medication, which caused a condition called sulfhaemoglobinaemia. Sulfhaemoglobinaemia occurs when sulfur enters into the red blood cells? haemoglobin.

    The man had to undergo the surgery on his legs after falling asleep in the sitting position.

                              I like how the last two paragraphs are a mini bio of Dr Spock. Must have been a treekkie author.

                              According to the science fantasy television series Star Trek, Mr Spock had green blood because the oxygen-carrying agent in Vulcan blood includes copper, rather than iron, as is the case in humans.

                              Mr Spock had a human mother, and Vulcan father, from whom he inherited his inability to make sense of human emotion, as well as his green blood.

                                                  I know this is true as well but I had no idea that it was possible to actually change the color of blood... This man must certainly have toxic levels of it in all of his organs as well. That is not good!
