We'll be there a whole week so nothing too expensive I found a lot of decent looking places for around $50. I'd love to see some temples and a LOT of nightlife. We were talking about heading to a beach area for a couple of days of our trip, our friend found a place called Pattaya, is that a good option?.

Would like to check out some of the must-see shopping but in all honesty we live in the Philippines and have been coming here for almost 3 years so we got cheap-shopping down.

Pattaya is great for beach, only 2hrs taxi ride and about 1200 - 1500 baht for a taxi, you can get taxi from the street and usually get them down to about 1200 - 1300 but sometimes if in a rush just pay the 1400 or so hehe, nice beaches, some really nice hotels, CRAZY nightlife, TONS of bargirls infest the place tho, some it's a good thing, but i'd definately not take my family there heh (basically, no kids allowed), i actually plan to hit the beaches there for JetSkiing soon

Temples, gotta hitup Wat Po and Wat Traimit, temple of golden buddha, both are really cheap, and VERY boring (for me at least), but great for pics to show ppl back home

CHEAP SHOPPING!!! hitup Klong San, Kao San Road (very touristy), and Chatuchak (weekend market, open sat/sun), Chatuchak is awesome, it is getting more and more touristy tho, but still way cool, and fun talking down prices etc etc, but VERY hot

NIGHTLIFE!!!! man, BKK has everything hehe! where to begin!!! late late night after bars close you can hit a cool bar Spicy off Sukhumvit Soi 11 (near Qbar / BedSupperClub) it never closes i think hehe and same with Boss (late night club), open WAY late, well, Nana, Soi Cowboy, Hollywood, RCA (Slims is cool), but nightlife here is badass! you'll see that for sure

75 baht for 1 hour foot massage near me right now, BUT this is part of BKK that is very much less touristy, so much cheaper

meals, great food at like MK Restaurants and BBQ Plaza for like 400 baht for 2 ppl, awesome food!!!

being from USA it does seem to be getting more and more and MORE expensive'r for everything, i find myself fighting more and more for every 1 baht in every situation nowdays
