No way. What they have to do is make joining more attractive than not joining. Offer something inside the site that can't be found for free, other than HD. Offer something that's different for the 100 or 1,000 other sites in their niche and style.
At the moment there are more reasons to not join a site than there are reasons to join a site. Proof is in the stats.

Eva shot it. But the whole scene sold over 50 times and the set 40 times on the stores alone. So $3500. Then magazines sales probably made $4,000 to $5,000. Double it to $15,000, because we shot 2 scenes that day, and you can see why we never shot a lot of custom, not any other top shooter. And these sales don't include the paysite sales. But as it's only one scene of 600 not much to talk about.
It's not about "Bro" points, it's about $$$$$. Could I of shot something better than Eva? Yes she was too lax with the girls. And to be honest I was always telling her. But we made money that day and it illustrates my point about faking. Too much of it is happening and considering what we pay girls we should tell them flat to do it properly or cum for real with some noise or fuck off home.
But the industry continues to churn out the same average content in the belief if we get enough clicks it will sell.

I've done a few and sat on the panel of a few as well. The one you're talking about was moved back to Saturday and was after the show and the day I was flying home. All the others including ones at Telemedia I've made.
The problem of doing a master class is the first thing people have to learn is you can't shoot GOOD porn on a shoestring budget and if you could, YOU WON'T, because others will pay more. When you can shoot the level of Viv Thomas, Bill Wright, Jack Harrison, Steve Perry and more you go where the money is. Like me. Why didn't I shoot custom? The sponsors couldn't match what I earned elsewhere.
It's about $$$$$
