    Why I love living in Oregon. Deer at my door. (video)

    A family of deer have been hanging around our yard. We're seeing these guys almost everyday now. The other morning I woke up, went upstairs, passed the window, and while I'm still half asleep there's this big alien deer face staring at me from the other side of the glass. The whole situation is completely unacceptable to my dog, but he's slowly making peace with them.

                                  I always see deer outside my house too, but as soon as they see people around here they run for the hills. They must have gotten used to the idea that when they see a person, they usually get shot.

                                  Can't shoot 'em this time of year anyway, or they'd be rotten by the time we got around to cleaning it.
