We watched both and I think I can some what answer your questions Uno. One of the two remaining friends is a lawyer and he knew that the FBI would implicate them even though they where innocent. This was reassured by the other friend with the powerful Father who was also in trouble with the FBI in the past.
Outside of that I would assume that they would have checked Will Travelers cellphone records and seen that the last call he made was to those 2 friends so the FBI would have that within a few hours. Plus what kind of show would it be if it began and ended in the first episode?Comment
