Laughing my fucking ass off.
A case of not monitoring inventory close enough. Do you think some sales rep closed the deal on pirate bay and just slipped it in. Are you fucking kidding me? I would bet anything that the deal with Pirate bay took a lot of work and more than a few people worked on getting that one done. I bet something like that needed involvement or approval from the top.
Do you really think we are that fucking stupid?ICQ: 86364801 Email: will [at] innovativeassets [dot] com

So the two sites are totally different, not owned by the same people, it's just a business partner, something you have no control over etc.. bullshit bullshit bullshit, but yet the phone number above is used by both companies.
Not under the same umbrella of sites but under the same fucking phone number umbrella. SO what's the excuse now, both companies share a line to try to save a couple bucks a month on phone fees.
What the fuck is wrong with you people and your bullshit.
Between this shit, and Sex Bank Roll fucking moron telling people he is going to go shut down the affiliates on sbrjmp.com url for using zango, when that url is the same one he hosts his sig on, and SBR uses for press releases, etc... How fucking dumb are you people. Then you have the idiot fucker who tells people he is forced by his competition to do something but then he stops when it becomes unprofitable.
It is truely unfucken believable the shit some of you morons will say when you open your mouths. You people are so fucking pathetic you can't even lie striaght. Why don't you grow a pair of balls and at least be honest about what you are doing.ICQ: 86364801 Email: will [at] innovativeassets [dot] com

Maybe because everyone has let them get away with this shit for so long and not held them accountable, they think we are just stupid and we wont notice.
I bet anything these big companies get together and laugh at us. The laugh at the stuff they do to us and get away with and now they probably laughing at us for bitching. Funny thing is without us most of these companies would be out of business. Very few could make it without the support of affiliates/webmasters, including avn. And those that could make it without us would take a big drop in revunue.
Lets see if avn tries to keep making lies and pops back in with some bullshit or if they step up and admit to what they are doing.
But no one will hold them accountable either way so, unless they are penalized for their actions nothing is going to change.ICQ: 86364801 Email: will [at] innovativeassets [dot] com

I love the official AVN response.

Someone do a whois comparison on sexbankroll and AVN. If they aren't in the same building, they must have at least bought the same book
"The Complete Idiots Guide to offering pathetic excuses that you hope people won't check as they can be proven false in under a minute"
This excuse
"uh well we kinda know them but we don't really have anything to do with each other even though I can see their guys down the hall from where I'm sitting right now."
is the corporate version of:
"that's not my crack officer, my uh friend must have put it there but I don't really know her , uh I just met her 20 minutes ago"

yeah me too. Even though I still wouldn't like them, I would respect them more for being honest.
What they do now is lie to us and fuck us. While it still hurts, i would rather just be fucked instead of being fucked and lied to.
And there is correct ways to tell the truth, which Lars failed at doing... A common bros mistake, the ' yeah but ' factor.
Yes we use zango, but....... (insert bullshit lie here).
Yes we use zango, but..... we were forced to do it.
Yes we use zango, but...... it legal and it is the same as a pop up.
The bros think they can trick and fool us by using such tactics... The admitt to it so you can get the " he is soooo top notch" comments but then still lie and shift the blame to someone else.

It's just amazing that the supposed industry leader can't come out and put something definite on the table. Instead, they try to do the old "that isn't us, it's this other company" bullshit that is laughable.
Come on people. If you know people at AVN, contact them and ask them why. Ask them to come out in public and explain why they support torrent sites, the sites that steal the content from the people that advertise with AVN, attend AVN shows, and generally keep AVN afloat.
AVN needs to step up and make a clear policy on this issue, and take the leadership role that they are suppose to have. Now would be a good time to do it.Comment

You should be fucking asshamed of yourself for saying such bullshit lies. Either you are really really stupid and in the dark on this one and just repeating what you boss told you to say or you are straight up lieing to us.AVN Ads and Adbrite's sites are two different sites. If you go to AVN Ads and find a Pirate Bay ad for sale, let me know and I'll look into having it pulled. Adbrite.com is not under our umbrella of sites. Adbrite is a business partner, it is not an AVN entity.
Saying that, I will speak to them about whether or not they should be associated with a torrent site and hopefully come to a resolution. It is probably just a case of not monitoring inventory close enough.
In the meantime, if you would like to discuss with me further, feel free to send me a message on ICQ.
Adbrite is a " business partner" and not an AVN entity.....
Interesting. A couple quick searchs show that AVN and Adbrite use the same support 800#.
This site: http://www.avnads.com/mb/commerce/pu...0519&rdfrom=ab which is on AVN ADS and is about purchasing traffic from AVN says " Where can I find these ads?
These are not necessarily the only places where you can find this ad zone, just the most trafficked ones.
http://www.likecrack.com/adbrite.html " go to that url and the code is adbrite. So that shows right there you are advertising traffic for sale on AVN Ads that is being generated from adbrite's link codes.
http://press.adbrite.com/latimes.html One was created for adult ads the other was created for mainstream ads. They both created by the same person but they are not under the same unbrella of sites and just are business partners???Kaplan also created a separate advertising network, AVN Ads, dedicated to sex-related ads and websites, to keep AdBrite squarely in the mainstream.
Oh look at this:

So Adbrite / AVNads has the same person create the programs, uses the same support 800#, is hosted on the same server. On deals with adult the other deals with porn. But yet you trying to tell us one is not owned by the other and they are just "business partners"
thats like saying AFF and Cams are just "business partners". Google adwords and Google adsense is just "business partners".
Maybe we should rename them business bros, avnads and adbrite are just business bros...
On a side note, it looks like Etology is hiring, here is their information if anyone is interested in stopping in and " talking " to them: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/sls/335607980.htmlLast edited by will76; 06-02-2007, 09:38 AM.ICQ: 86364801 Email: will [at] innovativeassets [dot] com

What I find to be fucking ironically classic is if you go to AVNonline, or AVN.com and look over the sponsor programs on there, then go to where adbrite has ads you'll find all of their content.
Why are program owners so fucking stupid that they pay someone who is stealing from them.

I always wonder how fucking hard it would be for programs to just generally blacklist torrent sites, and stop taking their traffic, stop letting them signup, stop letting them get iframe ads, etc. There are maybe 20-30 really huge torrent sites out there, blacklisting all of them would be a HUGE start to keeping these people from making money stealing from others.
You would think the people in the adult business would have more respect for their friends than some freeloading fuckwads in sweden.Comment

Nice. I am going to print up a 1000 free tickets to the show and start a website : freeshowpasses.com I will see if avnads will broker traffic for me.
I will start a new company for this and call it Will77 and then tell people that is my business partner and not under my umbrella of sites.

While I am at it I might start a site that rips all of avn's articles, doesn't link back to them and removes all the ads and call the site noadsartciles.com and try to get everyone to go to that site instead of avn.
then I will start a artcile about plagiarism and how bad it is LOLLast edited by will76; 06-02-2007, 03:51 PM.ICQ: 86364801 Email: will [at] innovativeassets [dot] com

Yep, it's funny how some companies don't seem to know some of their partners. Noone recognizes 3,500,000 adviews daily since October 2005 ? These numbers are from the Adbrite website where Pirate Bay is still listed in the "Theatre & Film" category and can be found half way down on the list of sites with most pageviews in their network.this thread is classic. the story seems to always be the same... i love how no one knows they support content theft, no one knows where their traffic comes from, who the referring URL's are and needs someone else to show them so they can "look into it" and "take appropriate action"
Together with:
TorrentSpy 6,700,000 pageviews daily (ranked as #14 of 15931)
Megaupload 5,400,000 pageviews daily (ranked as #18 of 15931)
"It is probably just a case of not monitoring inventory close enough."
So, noone has a look at the top 20 partners ?Comment

AVN: What's an SBR? I'll try anything at this stage.
Sexsearch: If you keep trying to defend yourself you will keep the spotlight on you like AFF did so I would STRONGLY advise you to pull an SBR starting right now.
AVN: ok ok but what the fuck's an SBR and how do I get one? Can I download it from The Pirate Bay? I get all my stuff from there.
Sexsearch: It's when you make one sad attempt try to cover your connections to shady shit initially and THEN shut the fuck up forever. It was invented by SexBankRoll, hence the name. You are already half way there. Just don't say ANYTHING from now on even if you have brainstormed a brilliant excuse you think might be doable ok?

To pull a SexSearch = never say a word.
To pull a SBR = try to cover it up one time, it backfires nevere try again or talk about it.
To pull an AFF = wait till you are outed and backed into a corner then defend it at all cost, counter attack the people accusing you, and throw lots of money in the air so people are distracted.
They either can go SBR or AFF at this point. Will be interesting to see what happens

AVN ads/Adbrite doesn't really have a hands on approval process. you just sign up for an account and place their code on your site. the good thing if you are a site owner is you don't have to worry about getting your site(s) approved. the bad thing is sites which allow downloads of copyrighted materials can show their ads too. also, i really doubt a CP site would show adbrite ads...that would cast too much attention to themselves.Comment
-
Cool1, it is very simple programming to filter for the term "torrent" or "warez" or "hackz" or whatever on a page, and during the approval process check the URL, the code on the page, etc and see if those terms come up. If they do, then put the account on hold for manual approval.AVN ads/Adbrite doesn't really have a hands on approval process. you just sign up for an account and place their code on your site. the good thing if you are a site owner is you don't have to worry about getting your site(s) approved. the bad thing is sites which allow downloads of copyrighted materials can show their ads too. also, i really doubt a CP site would show adbrite ads...that would cast too much attention to themselves.
Alternately, they could send all new accounts to an account manager to check the pages out where the content is located to assure that the site isn't a hack or torrent site. It only takes a minute (and if you hire a $10 an hour monkey to do the job, you are talking way less than $1 to check a new account...).
However, all that requires that the company has the desire to make things better, and it isn't clear at this point that AVN (or AFF for that matter) give a flying fuck who's dead body they have to climb over to make money.
They are truly giving the content producers and programs a big "fuck you all", and I am shocked that the people just sit there and take it like a bunch of stupid fuckers. It is beyond me the logic that the programs apply to ignoring this stuff.Comment

It's already been established that the torrent sites carry cp, or at least files leading people to believe they're getting cp.
