this is what I'm getting at...
I'm not against theft if say someone is stealing food because they're starving.
I'm not against theft if it was otherwise impossible for that person to obtain it legally.
(even those two examples will probably raise eyebrows, but I don't care, that's my position against the laws in place to protect the obvious and damaging-to-business 'real' thefts)

What I am 100% against is theft for personal profit. This is theft left, right, and center, up, down, wherever.

L-Pink raised the very valid point that even if it's theft by kids, the tubes are going to kill the industry in what 5 years or less (porn tubes were introduced ~ 4-5 yrs ago). This generation want shit for free and when they grow up, they will always want it for free. Kids will still steal and provide it, snowball effect for the future generations.

Now you suggest there is an industry motivation behind the illegal uploading (I don't agreee nor disagree, but I think you're right). These people are in it purely for the short term gain purely because of the snowball effect given above ( I don't think that is in doubt amongst anybody).

So yes, you're right - stop that in it's tracks.... Inject identifiable information to movies, offer only fully secured streaming. I really find it ironic that it is so easy to do both, but yet so little do it (well, all I can say is 34 have asked for my help in doing it). I asked for ideas on an app that I can offer to combat all this and got what, replies from 3 different people. There is a lethargy in this industry I just don't get!
