I'm not pro police, and I don't approve what the driver did.

But are you aware of the other side of the coin? Just imagine they would drive by with normal speed or even stop, people would overthrow the car easily. Again, not approving, just saying the guys in the car might have been scared more than protesters.

Have you ever been in a crowd out of control? Mass panic or violence can be stopped only by sheer and brutal power. It's sad, but it's true.

Metaman, I really recommend you to talk to someone who has lived / worked on Middle East. My brother was in Iraq and we spoke a lot about the things there.

One thing you may not know, working in military or police gives you tremendous advantages compared to civilians in those countries. So ironically, many of those guys don't fight for the ideology, they fight just to feed their family.

People get shocked by a situation in Egypt, that's outrageous they say. Ironically, very few cared for Rwanda, just to name a example. When I was serving in army I saw some photos taken there, from first line. I can tell you , in no other war in 20-30 years I saw so much cruelty as there.

What I'm saying is we are served stories / government overthrows like small children. Don't you think it's a weird coincidence that suddenly Mubarak needs to leave suddenly? I bet it's a puppet show of either US, or Israel or some Saudi interests.

And when saying civilized people don't need police...... you might be failing to realize that it takes only one un-civilized person to cause huge damage and misery. So saying police is redundant is a naive way of thinking that all people will get along. it's not the institution itself, but the puppeteers behind who make it serve them.

I have 0 respect for your brother. And if he has killed anyone I consider him a murderer. Real men say no to orders when it is wrong.

The west does not want him to leave. He secures their interests in the region also with Israel. The USA (Israel puppet) funded a massive portion of the Egyptian army. Do you think they want "the people" controlling this army? I don't think so.

The rhetoric has changed all of a sudden because there is no turning back now. Someone new will be in power and they will have to be afraid of clashes and people taking the street. This will in turn effect the interest of the west. That is why they are taking middle ground now.

Police/military are not for the people. Even though the people pay for them. They are for and have always been for the social elite. There is no exception to this rule.

The vast majority of people are civilized but we are bred into a system that corrupts your very thoughts into following it. The police and military are there to make sure that the indoctrination continues to happen and the new breed of people follow the previous status quo. That status quo has and will always be controlled by a few elite.

Exactly. People fail to realize this. Even a president has NO REAL POWER. They only have power because people are indoctrinated into believing they have power.

Power is a mere illusion and the brain is so powerful that it convinces itself things are real. How do you continue on with this illusion? You use a belief system. How to you get people to believe? You "teach" them just as you pointed out.

First time someone threw a 5 liter bag of frozen water from a bridge and hit my windshield. Didn't catch em.

That sums things up nicely. Unlike any other company that can only gain more customers if it provides a quality service at a price people are willing to pay for it, the police is a security company that has no incentive whatsoever to provide a good service because they force the people anyway to buy their services.

I have lots of dick head police stories, but for whatever reason this one just came to mind...

Last time I was in Spain, was running with the bulls. There is one corner area (where all the photographers hang out) where many bulls fall down before getting up and running into the straight part of the road. After the last bull is up and on that part of the road, they close a gate so they can't run backwards through where they just came.

Keep in mind, you are there to run with them. So here I am running through with some of the bulls and this fucking short ass Spanish cop (one of the ones closing the gate) just runs up and PUNCHES ME IN THE SIDE OF MY FACE for no reason at all! I stopped and grabbed this little man and threw him down right in the chaos. He got trampled by people and I took off running again. Fuck him, I hope he ended up a cripple and never walked another day in his life. I'll never know and I don't care.

I fucking HATE police who abuse their power in any manner. May they die the most horrible and painful deaths.
