Any heat source that burns a fuel will also produce carbon monoxide.
Just keep that in mind and be careful. People have been heating their homes for hundreds of years by burning a fuel source (wood, oil, natural gas, propane etc) and overall not many have died from it except for the stupid ones. You simply need an exhaust for it and you'll be ok.
