Sponsors crediting affiliate's mobile conversions - a question.

If a dude surfing for mobile porn on his phone arrives at my mobile affiliate site, clicks on the sponsor, decides he wants to join up but doesn't want to signup with his credit card on the phone, so goes to his pc or laptop and signs up there...

will I be credited with the conversion?

Sure, if he goes through your link code again.

Otherwise he is just going to type-in the domain on his computer and it goes to a house account.

Now if you use a whitelabel with a subdomain, then you will get the credit as they will type in m.sitename.com or whatever.

      Great.

So isn't that robbing an affiliate of his conversion?

I mean I don't see why you can't have a cookie on the mobile phone that recognises when the guy logs in to his (paid up) account and credits the affiliate with the conversion.

Use a subdomain for mobile then, all problems solved.

However, doing mobile for awhile and seeing the numbers, I don't see this being an issue.

O.k, well I'm still a little new to building mobile porn sites.

I've had a signup with phonemates.com with less than 100 hits. Not sure if it came from a mobile or not.

I'm guessing so, did they join a mobile site?

We've got mobile dating as well now, both adult and mainstream... drop me a line if you're interested in throwing it on your page!

Kristen gave some good advice... just subdomain it or whitelabel it.
