Mobile Traffic COULD Be Like The Dialer Rush, But Why Are No Sponsors Doing Anything ??

With everybody going mobile these days, people can cash in. I know for me, I send all my mobile traffic to Top Bucks and I make more money than I do with any other sponsor and that's from mobile users pulling out their credit cards to join up.

I have a friend that has a little setup going where he found a place that can do mobile billing for him and in order to sell a membership, a surfer, just has to punch in their phone number to verify that they're 18+ and boom, it adds a monthly charge to their cell bill and it's a nice easy sale where the surfer doesn't have to break out their credit card. He claims to be making a LOT of cash from it.

I'm not sure about the rest of you, but I think a setup like that would be an absolute GOLD RUSH for all of us, but why aren't any sponsors offering it ??? Is it mainly because it's harder to find that kind of processor to do adult ??

I agree, its only a matter of time before the potential of mobile is noticed by the adult industry and then expect a crazy rush...

Its estimated that by 2015 more people will surf the net via mobile devices than computers.

how does a phone number verify that someone is over 18? or do they just agree that they are 18 and then enter their phone number?

Since when is this legal in the US? We do this in various jurisdictions, but the US does not allow porn billed via mobile, at least not the major carriers...

If someone can tell me someone who can do mobile billing in the US, email me...

The only major issue I have with mobile billing is that offering a logical payout to affiliates gets complicated, since the amounts are so low and affiliates do not like the small amounts usually... so we prefer doing bulk deals or pre-pays which are based on everything together...

You cant curently bill adult services or content via sms in the US so the only other way would be 1-900 which i cant see as a realistic option either.

Until the networks agree to allow adult to be billed via sms or direct SIM billing its not viable and CC is the only way unles someone can advise me Im wrong?

It happens to be that the internet is worldwide, so try and geo target your traffic like in the good ol' dialer days

I did consulting for a sms/phone billing solution for over 4 years.
Telecom billing is anything but the new gold rush.. especially if you are dealing with web or even mobile traffic. Buying ads offline (tv, press) may get you results but not from web/mobile traffic, nothing compared to a clean credit card billing.

Plus you are limited in the amount you can bill through SMS and phone billing : for premium EU countries + Canada, it will be 2-3 euros max. Then take out the telco commissions - usually 50-60% - and you eventually receive 1 euro per transaction. Then pay your affiliates...
It can make you pocket money if you are selling cheap vids but this is NOTHING compared to what a clean credit card billing can do. If your product is high value (Livecams, Dating) then you can make 100 times more per client than what you would make with sms billing. I know this market too well to let anyone say it's the new gold rush : It's not...

The great thing about phone billing is that since the subscriber already has a contractual relationship with his or her phone company, you do not need to enter into one - they effectively act as collection agents on your behalf. The not-so-great thing is that they take a hefty % for so doing.

Since handheld devices are effectively mini computers and getting more and more powerful, it looks like the mobile interweb has a great future My money is on location based services

i m already prepairing things for some phone based deal and my idea is, giving members like half an hour or an our access since You can't charge your meber 35-40 dollars per call or sms.

For dating and cams 24 hours access could be given for around 1-3 euros and when ever surfer come and sign up again and again, that means You can make some nice ass money.

also Count that more people have phones then the ones have creditcars.
