And what is that? Are we treating this like an ICQ? haha
Well without going to much in depth, I believe that it is a basic human right to have good health and cost should not be an issue. I’ve known people who got sick and couldn’t go to the doctor because they simply couldn’t afford it, and one of which died because of it. Fifty million Americans do not have healthcare, millions more do not have “adequate” healthcare. There are thousands of people suffering with ailments daily that should *not* have to suffer. The US is the most powerful country on Earth yet we’re the only civilized country on the planet to not have a universal health care system. We spend more money to exterminate life than we spend to save it. That says something about our mentality… and that something isn’t very flattering.

I totally agree with you on that. But can you imagine how CHEAP health care would be without insurance?

I actually wonder how inexpensive it would be if we didn't have so many god damn lawyers enticing people to sue left and right over frivolous issues that the doctors can't control, or even minor ones that doctors could technically control (if they were Jesus) like accidentally leaving in a medical sponge once every 1,000 operations. I would like to see legal reform in this country more than anything else. Frivolous lawsuits seriously need to stop.

it is both. But one is protecting the person the other is raping them. The lawyer is protecting the insurance comp is fucking you.

That's just BS that the anti-lawsuit people throw out there. Fact is if a doctor or hospital injured or killed a loved one the anti-lawsuit hypocrites would be the first to get a lawyer and sue. Incompetent doctors and hospitals NEED to have their asses sued off. Otherwise what is the motivation to watch what they do?

No, it is not bullshit. Frivolous lawsuits are fucking retarded as shit and are hurting everyone in the process just to make a few lawyers some big bank. Of course SOME doctors and hospitals need to be sued, which is why I specifically noted the difference in my post.
Incompetent doctors - such as a doctor cutting off the wrong leg - needs to be sued.
Doctors that make honest mistakes - such as leaving in medical sponges once in a blue moon - do not deserve to be sued.
My sister-in-law wanted to get a lawyer to sue a doctor that left a medical sponge in her and it took me days to talk her out of it. The American ?sue first, ask questions later? attitude needs to change and it needs to change now.
