and the reason for this is that the republicans and democrats like him in office..
he is the perfect scapegoat for them to blame everything on while they rob americans blind..
like stated above, the president is just a face now a days and its the corporations that are running the country through puppet congressmen and lobbyists..
Heaven forbid something bad happen, but if he comes out looking like a total hero (or if he finally brings troops home) he may win. The people are easily fooled and it doesn't take much to forget about the cluster fuck someone has done if they can shine really good at another time.

Yep seems to be. But maybe they would like Palin even better as they could blame her and not have to pay her as much as him.

right and i suppose you think santa claus doesn't exist
Politics, short term memory of Americans, and the burning desire for instant gratification stuns me.
The Republicans are all screaming about the deficit and blaming it on Obama, while quietly ignoring the fact that Bush, the prior two term Republican President, not only left us with this huge deficit but also blames Obama for not fixing it. I understand we've come to expect instant gratification here, but this isn't going to be fixed over night. If it's that easy to fix, why didn't Bush fix it before he left office?
I think Obama is doing "well under the circumstance". The United States hasn't been this low in the past fifty years. This is difficult. But clearly he isn't the wonder boy promised to us. Anyone who believe that shit is stupid.
Will Obama win a second term? Maybe. Depends on what the Republicans put up against him. Palin won't cut it; She's a joke. The Republican party forgot the most important part of the presidential election - They put McCain (old and ugly) against a young black and youthful looking black man. If they try to put up an old man against Obama again, they'll loose. They need someone who looks like he's not going to die with his next breath.
