Guns you can buy everywhere, in Europe lots of youngsters see it as a bling bling status. Lots of weapons and explosives are for sale. Last X-mas I was in Slovakia at my girlfriend her uncle and that guy had a really nice legal collection, lots of East EU/Russian hardware but he is a collector and I was impressed but personally im more interested in other things

Buddy of mine just bought a bunch of nerf guns for his 2 kids (like the one below). Automatic, re-loadable clips, etc. We play with them more than the kids lol! Nerf guns are bad ass!!

As for REAL guns, I'm an anti-gun guy and think the laws in this country that allow such easy access are just dumb. With that said, it is practically useless to regulate them now because of politics and the strength of the NRA lobby, so I'm seriously thinking about "giving in" and just getting armed myself lol. If I buy, the FN 5.7 (pictured in a previous post) or an AR-15 (with all the toys) would be my first choices

Should the shit should ever hit the fan or you need to protect your family, a lot of you are fucked.

There is nothing wrong with being armed to protect yourself and your family. That doesn't make someone a freak or a loon. It does not make you a pussy. It means you are at least trying to be prepared for an event that you hope never comes. Maybe a gun owner will shoot his own foot off, or maybe they will save the lives of their family, there is no way to tell. But I'd rather die trying than not to have tried.

If you still think someone is a pussy for having a gun, so be it. I'm sure many gun owners would rather be considered a pussy than to have their family harmed by an intruder.

just be careful when your 16 year old comes sneaking into the house at 3am, try not to kill him/her.

chances are though, if a criminal didn't think you had a gun in the house, he wouldn't have one either. i knew lots of criminals in my younger days, none used any weapon when they broke into a home. if they saw someone there, they were gone. they just wanted empty homes.

regardless, you would think here in canada we would have a gun problem. its pretty hard to get a handgun and most illegal guns come from the US. shouldn't we canadians be getting killed by criminals in record numbers since we are for the most part, unarmed?

qft, not to mention that the buckshot will likely not go through multiple walls meaning when you miss the would be intruder you do not kill your neighbor next-door or daughter sleeping in the other room. Bottom line hand guns will never be an argument for home defense and rifles are for hunting.

I have lots of guns but no pics. I am an avid hunter (water fowl mostly) My favorite gun is my Italian double barrel from 1939. Very pretty engravings and is very accurate. I have a couple of hand guns but only shoot those 1-2 times a year either at the range or up at my cabin.

When I am not using my handguns I have them locked up in a safe so nobody can access them. If someone were to break into my house in the middle of the night there would be no way to get to them fast enough to stop the intruder. Although to be honest, I didnt buy them for home protection. I bought them for hunting and just fucking around at the range.

SO no answer from you..thanks for the input... but..still no answer to my question.

..i have a 12 gauge benelli in the bedroom closet..and keep the 40cal in the nitestand...the 9mm handgun stays in the truck. i think im covered but thanks for the tip

This is partially true. Yes, there is the wall thing. But there is also maneuverability. Shotgun is great when you preemptively hear an intrusion. Handgun for nightstand and quick reaction.

This all scenario in my head though. I hope the case never arises. I personally bought my handgun mainly to practice shooting with and have fun with friends. But I also chose to buy the handgun that I did because I have started frequenting Vegas and just being around the city I have seen some shit... right in broad daylight. People getting hassled by "questionable fellows", people literally breaking into cars in parking lots with no discretion at all.

I have yet to get my CCW still but I definitely plan on it the longer I stay here in Vegas.

Take all that as you like. DOnt be stupid or gangster... be prepared.

Hopefully I use this weapon for the rest of its day only out on the range.
