HOSTS: Spam me please!

But, please don't just post your URL. I need serious help because I know nothing about servers.

We are currently hosted with a Dutch company and we have this server:

Intel Quad Core Xeon X3430 2,40Ghz, 2GB DDR2 memory
2x320GB SATA2 discs with RAID 1 configuration. Bandwidth 660GB/month

Not sure what that means, but thats what we have.

I'm happy with the quality of the server, it's fast, secure, we have full access since its a dedicated server.

But.. there is just no customer service. We need to wait weeks for replies or simple changes done and it's driving me absolutely nuts cause I'm a RIGHT NOW kind of person.

Please let me know if you have a server you can offer that's about the same performance wise and how much it would cost us.

Yes, do check out Amerinoc, their Xeon 3440 or possibly ATOM D510 would be a good replacement. Pay quarterly and get a very fair price with a discount too.

Their customer serivce and support is second to none. Amazing guys, very fast and knowledgeable. And they also do the full transfer of your site for you, which of course always is very nice when switching hosts.

Since your question dont tell us everything but I assume it's a dedicated server you are renting from the company and it's not yours, right ?

Most companies who rent out dedicated servers often dont help customers except for
reinstalls of the os so since I dont know what exactly the problem is and why they are
delaying your questions it's hard to determind what you need.

You need a dedicted server with a staff that can help you with your server / software
or you only need a dedicated server where you are manage everything yourself with
a tech guy / programming staff ?

From my POV, your server is a beast comparing to memory, bandwidth and sata drives, you really need that kind of server in the first place ? I dont know what you are using the server to so it's hard to decide.

The old free6 was hosted with Netriplex, since I manage all their servers so we only needed help with changing drives and tp cables etc it went smooth but setting up a VPS server on 2 weeks i made up my mind by testing another company, fdcservers.

They have a AMD 6 Core, 8GB, 2x1.5Tb drives (as you can get in raid1) with dedicated 10mbit (80Gb per day or 2400GB/month bandwidth) for $149 per month.

Wait some days and I bet there is more people going to answer your question but you should describe more what the server is used for so it's better to help you decide what's a good chooise.

If you don't want to shift, you can hire a server admin company. I use supremesupport.com. They are amazing and I'm happy to give them a plug. They can install your scripts and help troubleshoot any problems you may be having with your sites.

Wow, that's unfortunate. I guess I'm glad they don't overload with clients. These people spent 2 days modifying one of my scripts to work with the nginx webserver (which they also installed). I contact them for something at least once a week. All for $70 a month.

would you like to be able to talk to someone? Myabe people that will ask you not just what kind of server you want, but maybe people that will help you grow your business, give you individual attention, maybe even ask you how your life is going? you know be one of the family so to speak?
