    Serial killers versus Lone gunmen

    Ever notice that serial killers only have two names, but lone assassins always have three. John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald, Mark David Chapman... and now this latest guy.

    News media in the United States (print as well as television) go out of their way to make sure every lone gunman and solitary crazed killer is identified by his full name, regardless of how he is called by relatives, friends and neighbors.

                                              Someone just watched Conspiracy Theory and quoted the Mel Gibson rant. The reason any assassin or serial killer is identified by all three names is to distinguish them from anyone that might have a similar name. There are a lot of John Booth's, but not nearly as many John Wilkes Booth's...

                                                      It reminds me of the rant Howard Stern goes on demanding that they call the guy who was affiliated with Anna Nicole Smith Howard K. Stern so that people won't think he is the one involved in her death.

                                                          Booth is mentioned in a lot of history books & novels as Wilkes Booth when he was an actor.
